Kobe Bryant's farewell tour continues this evening in the Lone Star State as the San Antonio Spurs are hosting the Los Angeles Lakers at the AT&T Center.
Prior to the opening tip, the Spurs showed a tribute video featuring some of Bryant's best moments as well as some commentary on what it has been like going against Bryant from current players on San Antonio's roster.
Spurs icons Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker all spoke in the video and commended Bryant for what he brought to the game of basketball in his 20-year career.
"He was, for us, the Michael Jordan of our generation," said Parker. "It was just an honor to play against him."
Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich also sent Bryant a message, saying: "Your competitiveness is inspiring."
The Spurs and the Lakers have gone through plenty of battles over the years and we can only imagine that the two franchises will continue to provide basketball fans with quality match ups going forward.
